No, sadly not a search for a pimped Defender, but a rather sad little Porsche.

The car is a '69T, which I bought blind (I know, I know...). I knew (i) had been in a front impact and (ii) had a missing engine and transmission. Turns out it's chassis might be twisted from the fender bender. I've attached some pictures below. Other than the mechanicals, the car is complete (minus - surprise surprise - the door furniture).

Being Karman car that's already been separated from its mechanical bits and has a colour change my plan had been to retain the shaggy look , beat out the wing, clear coat it, throw in a 3.6 and go. Just this once, originality can go hang. Now I'm wondering how/if I can straighten it if I need to.

Has anyone undertaken anything similar? I'd be particularly be keen to here any experiences re costs. And if anyone wants to make an offer to take it on I'd be delighted to hear from you or pick up the phone. I do not want a cut chassis.

All your thoughts welcome (other than references to the stupidity of buying blind...).

Thanks!

Polimer in Dubai might be able to help as they have a chassis straightener.

we made some enquiries for chassis/jig straightening for the zettanet dc5 racer. all drew a blank. i'd be interested in feedback if you do find somewhere.

did you buy the car locally? good find if the price was right. i would love an early 911 project but should really finish the clubby first.

I sent a car to polymer a few years ago to have the chassis(shell) sorted on a race car. From memory it cost about 15k, that did not include any parts or paint

I did not have to worry about registration either, they can be very funny here if they can see any mods to a chassis or think its a crash repair
