Selling a car without Emirates ID

Hi all

My Emirates ID is being renewed (old one is cancelled and has just gone out of date anyway) but I need to sell my car and transfer it to someone in Abu Dhabi (I'm in Dubai). Can I do this just with my passport and VISA or will they need my E ID?

Do you have the application for the new Emirates ID?

Good point, yes I do, I will take that with me. I called their helpdesk number and they didn't mention needing the EID, so hopefully I will be ok.

You can use the application form in place of the EID card, has a bar code at the top I think which they scan.

Awesome, thanks very much. Fingers crossed the buyer turns up now, I cannot face answering a call from Saudi (of which I have received about 40!!).

Gotta love em, I had one on earlier offering 80k for a car advertised at 169, er no thanks.

Yeah, the texts and whatsapps I have received have given me a good chuckle. I just press 'silence' when I see +966 on the number calling now!

for anything tasjeel related, its either em ID or passport+drivers licence. they're not fussed which.

Thanks chaps, all sorted with my passport and driving licence etc, I don't think they looked at my old EID.

I now officially have zero cars - the first time in a very long time, normally I have at least 2 or 3!
