A member on another forum out here had recently purchased a 2007 Honda S2000 in Solid Black with Red Leather, the car had not been maintained well regarding the paint and appearance.

Request was to get the paint looking half decent again, restore the headlights and improve the general appearance of the leather inside.

Few before pictures,

Badly Swirled paint:

Many random deep scratches:

Headlights before and during restoration:

Seats before:

Chemical strip on the wheel to remove residue:

Now the after pictures,

Headlights restored to as near new:

Drivers Seat:

Paint after, now fortunately swirl free and much more black than before:

and some general exterior shots:

Car now looks much better than before!

Are the ones on the wives car glass or plastic do you know?

A few methods exist, this car had already had a chemical strip of them done by Lap 57 recently which to be fair had improved them but hadn't really worked.

They can be polished by hand but this depends how far they are gone if its feasible. These ones I sanded (please don't do if you have not done it before as it damages them and then you have to repair that damage gradually) which was the only option as other methods had not worked previously.

Final method is just machine polish them, but again depends how far gone they are.

Post or send me a pic of them if you can and I can advise which is best, or if you want them doing just let me know. Can be a quick job however if sanding is needed would take a few hours.

Many thanks.

Surprisingly just a good clean, leather cleaner and then a leather conditioner, made no end of difference.

Looks good.

Can you recommend anywhere to have similar done? Or work you do? My old man has a 560 sec out there that would benefit from some love.

A 560 SEC that's a blast from the past!

Many companies exist out here, some do decent jobs, some do distinctly average jobs. However a few very good companies are about but don't expect change out of 10k for similar work.
