Had a busy day yesterday working on a lovely example of a 997 GT3 in speed yellow.

Requirements basically to get the paint back to a slightly improved state, give the interior a bit of a refresh and put some protection on the paint itself.

The car considering the year and the climate its lived in has been kept in excellent condition to start with, normally this would warrant a single stage correction however a few random deep scratches had appeared on the paint and due to the German cars typically rock solid paint even getting the swirls out can be a challenge with a 1 stage product.

To give a brief idea of the swirls on the car see a couple of pictures below, these are in the typical areas, door top edges, top edges of the wings and rear quarters plus the roof:

As mentioned nothing critical but in the right light they did stand out.

Also the lights front and rear had not escaped swirl free either:

Interior is in very good condition considering the type of bucket seats these cars have, normally see a lot of wear on these edges but not so much on this example:

Onto a few brief shots of the process. Alloy wheels having been cleaned didn't give much metal residue from a chemical strip:

Interior despite having a full wipe down using cleaners using a dedicated leather cleaner still manages to bring out some marks:

Dashboard in the process of having the leather fed:

Fully washed ready for the correction to begin:

Experimenting which is the best of the more aggressive compounds to use on the paintwork:

During the polishing:

Now a few after shots:

Interior came up like new, not the best shots due to fading light:

Once topped off with a good sealant and wax certainly brought the yellow back into the name:

All in all a lovely example of an excellent car.

Thanks for looking.

well done, as always.

Lovely color on a GT3, need more of these in yellow. Also, doing detailing for Parc Ferme? You're movin' up, 'grats.

Thanks on the comments. Agreed on the colour, White, Yellow or Riviera Blue would be the choices for a GT3.

Not quite it was as per the owners request, it would probably take me 4 years to do all the cars in the storage due to the amount of spare time I get, im sure they would require someone a bit more available than myself!

Apologies for not replying to this sooner to say a huge thanks to After_Shock for the detailing work he did on the car. It's absolutely transformed the paintwork, especially in the sunlight. The work on the headlights has made them look like they're brand new.

For anyone looking to their car detailed, I cannot recommend After_Shock enough.

Fantastic stuff, great car in a great colour.

@After_Shock, I might need you to stop by and give my car another going over before the grand parade next week. A summer of sand blasting means it's gone back to matte black!!
