Qatar Motor Show 2016

Thursday 28th Jan at 4pm the doors open to the 2016 Qatar Motor Show, the venue is the conference center in the heart of Doha not the place stuck out at Education City. Hopefully be a good show and this year has a outdoor area too.

Maybe see some fellow PH'ers there.

Its mostly manufacturer and franchised dealers that exhibit - some small detailing, local tuning and normally a stand of state law vehicles is there. Not sure if its open to clubs and private entry displays, thats more for the smaller events like last weekend at Katara and the bike and clasic car show or the Cars and Karak where its a meet of modified and car enthusiast clubs.

Years ago we talked about a Losail PH'ers day - but dont think it ever got beyond the idea stage.

It's a good event, I went in 2013 and 2014 before moving to the UAE. They have typically always had an outdoor area which involves some stunt driving and motocross riders doing stunts and jumps etc.

Glad to hear it has a new home in the middle of town now. Would have been able to walk to that if I was still there.

4pm today the doors swing open for the public.

Some pics from the VIP invitational launch night last night show a rather disturbing locally produced lambo knock-off; not sure this will be on my must-see list but perhaps its better than the pictures suggest.
