We will be departing Chez Ranches in June so are starting all the planning now

Anyone got recommendations on some movers to use? Not really interested in the opened sided trucks you see around (!) so something decent and covered. Will be for a 3 bed villa and some outdoor furniture.

We also need to take whitegoods with us (fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and cooker) - all but the fridge was installed when we moved in and bought them from Emax - they were hardwired into the wiring (so plugs chopped off) - they will also need to come out and be refitted. Same for 2 ceiling lights.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Cheers

Like all movers, you have to check the quality of the materials they supply (bubble wrap can be a bit thin) and manage the order they pack / move / un-pack.

We will try and see whether we can take care of the most fragile stuff before they arrive (so they drop off boxes and materials and we do it) leaving the major stuff for them. Also makes much easier for us unpacking at the other end.

Reminds me - I need to check whether our current stove will fit in the new place since they appear to have different sized gaps across the various villas

The below seem to get rave reviews from the jvt crew, run by a British bloke called Chris

That's if you're looking for someone Iver and above a man with a van type affair anyway.

Where you moving, The Villa?

Great thanks for the link! Yep, off to a villa in The Villa (always thought it an odd name!)
