BMW M2 here today ... gone tomorrow.
Discussion
Ok so Mrs T had a meeting with BMW this morning and this is the outcome.
New car on order ... identical to the smashed one only it will be a 2017 model. Delivery in October.
Full immediate refund on money's paid, less AED 5,000 deposit for the new one.
Reimbursement of out of pocket expenses for insurance.
She didn't push for a loan car as in fact it didn't suit us to have one ... long story but it involves lack of parking space for a third car.
So all in all fair enough, but I would say that the Customer Services Manager is pretty inefficient and the people who bent over backwards to help were the original salesman who's now on holiday and his colleague who took matters on in his absence. Both Brits.

Just asked Mrs T and yes it was her.
To complete the story ... BMW provided a replacement car about 2 months after they wrote the first one off. No apology and it took some badgering to finally get it sorted ... unimpressive service.
I've driven it a bit and it's some car.
Good points: Fast, handles very well, rear wheel drive hoonery, sublime build quality, practical, comfy, looks beefier in the flesh, sounds meatier than a flat six.
Bad points: No HUD, no digital speedo so trying to do exactly 122kph on SZR is a guess, BMW customer service.
I'll post some photos and a more detailed write up shortly.
