Petrolhead backpacker looking to borrow Jack & Tools

Been in Sydney a couple of months and bought a typical backpacker car (Magna Wagon 3.5 V6). It's in dire need of a service and I was thinking about doing it myself to save some $. Would anyone be able to lend me tools, Jack and stands? I know it's a lot to ask but I will provide beer/$ in return

Also is the insurance carried over with the rego? Or do I need to start a new policy?

CTP, injury cover (green slip) is part of your rego (if I'm understanding your question correctly). Third party property damage is absolutely not and you should get cover.
