Came in a box with stuff (haven't opened them yet).

Also, to my surprise, I've got parking permits for all the days as well even though I only ordered 2 tickets.

Ok - opened it - nice package actually - set of 4 lanyards and stand passes.

Where did you order your tickets from – yasmarinacircuit.com site? We got ours from F1-GPT as the main site was being slow, so hopefully won’t be too long – although they might have to be shipped UAE-UK-UAE…

Yeah - from the main site. Went smoothly and they said the tickets would arrive a few weeks before - so far everything is on track.

I have a couple of questions though. What happens on the Thursday? Are there suport race qualifying and practice? or is it a case of wander about and see what is going on? - I won't be hagning around for Beyonce - may not go down at all if there's not much to do.

Also - has there been a card for the support races yet?

From what I read it's just a wander around - pit straight walk etc.

Just completed the second day of training yesterday - I'm down as a pit marshal so I'm looking forward to being right in the middle of the action.

We had a walk around of the control room as well:



I expected it to be up in the air somewhere, not on ground level. ;-)

My friend who lives over there has bought me a ticket although still not sure where the seat is exactly! I pestering him to find out whether it's dry at the track or not - bloody hope not! I seem to remember at the Bahrain race the drivers were given rose water rather than the usual.

I have just had a lovely e mail from my contact at FOM who is "walking us round the pits and paddocks" on the Friday, as everyone will be there then, and I am now starting to consider the tena lady from excitement.
