Sorry I couldn't make the meet - rock and roll for pulling it together on a Saturday though. I haven't done 'Sunday' drinking since I was a single young man in London.

Tell me one thing though - how do you get over the 'I'm going out to meet some blokes off the internet' thing?

Seriously, I've only ever met one other person from the tinterweb and that was for an altogether different common interest in a Travelo....enough said there I think!

What's different to a lot of internet meets is that we all have lots of things in common and have shared experiences - being an expat and living in Dubai is very different to being a fellas back in the UK. hope you get what I mean.

As a small group of expats 4,000 miles from home, it's always good to meet good people - all helps with settling in and knowing there is a bit of a safety net should it go tits up etc...
