Yep, real petrolhead. Introduced me to the autocross scene. I don't know if he still runs a workshop in Al Quoz (shirt?). Has had the car since I met him (2001) so possibly had it from new.

i think the workshop is still there but it's private, for his & his friend's cars. he has very, very good taste.

I saw one of these yesterday on Hessa Street - Wondered what the hell it was until it went past - It's a Gembella Le Mans, had a full cage and sounded rather fruity. Lady driver.

The speedster replica is actually very nice. I was in Jeepers yesterday having a look around it.
Just imported from California and nicely built. Owner of jeepers is taking it to the classic show tomorrow with a c1 corvette.

Those beetles we're all parked outside NBD in Al Barsha in jan/feb advertising something. 3 classics 3 'new' beetles.
