michael243 - the owner sold that Veyron (it's in Oman now), he has a Vitesse Meo Costantini with the same plate now.

Ah I forgot he had one of those now, it didn't come to London and I forgot altogether.

Buggati

Stupid car you have to send the wheels back to France to get the tyres changed. And as they are such a pain to work the local dealer sub contacts out the work

Seriously? I did wonder about that given how complex they are. It's bad enough trying to get someone to service my car who actually knows anything let alone one of those. Largely the reason why I am avoiding the uber-barges like the S600's etc since am concerned about actually getting them fixed.

The Veyron uses special Michelin PAX tires found on no other car. They were designed specifically for the Bugatti's capabilities and can only be removed from the wheels in France, a process that costs $70,000. The tires themselves cost $17,000 per set.

I think it will be, I saw it at Ritz Carlton DIFC as well, same number plate. It's obviously getting some use!

Thanks for the heads up 6th Gear. Went there and tried to take some decent pics, but management told me to not take pics because of privacy (had a DSLR, that's why). Saw a woman taking a pic with a camera phone on my way out, lol.

This is all I got lol

OT: such a pain to find parking at DIFC :/

Only saw this out of the corner of my eye as I was actually looking at the car in front - a similarly gold plated 6X6 G wagon, also on a low loader..

Yes - same car.

If I turn around in my car (turning...) the Ritz is about 300m away. I may wander down after work.

Oh wow, shame I didn't spot it there. One of my all time favourites. Thanks for posting the pics.

It had a Tomini sticker in the rear window so presume its one of the owners (very fine) collection.

My 'Chief car spotter' 14year old son walked straight past it. He had no idea what it was but had presumed it to be an old 911 with a cheap body kit. Clipped him round the ear for that one.

One sold recently for 750,000 USD.
