ks, this would have made a fantastic 'flatting out'.I think, like most things out here, there can always be an exception to the rule if you know the right people or you can make a valid argument about it and spend plenty of time getting it sorted.
I'd guess anyone with enough cash to have that car is going to be connected and probably bypassed the usual red tape.

you can register RHD cars that are 20+ years old via the sharjah classic car club. as asterix says, this guy must have some decent wasta to get dubai plates.

spotted a yellow ferrari FF yesterday, not a colour suited to the car. also saw a tdf blue f458 with tan leather. i almost fell over at the wibble factor.
these are cheating, but a few left field choices on sale at al awir:
1981 unimog 406 convertible!
very cool merc s class. i do like these a lot.
pagoda sl. this one is super mint and outshone everything in the dealer's stock including a koenigsegg ccxr and an aventador. easily the nicest car in at al awir right now, wish i had the dirhams to make it mine.
