Saw one of those last year, I thought that the owner added the side logos...  Anyways, I saw this at MoE today, along with a yellow Aston Martin V8 Vantage (no pics of that, sorry).

There was a low kms one for sale recently - you'd need to be sure that your grins per mile overcame the worry that everyone on the road would think that you had barried your Porsche!

the barry element could be easily fixed. not convinced about desert trekking on those tyre though.

Saw what looked like a prototype Mercedes-Benz car entering Al Bustan Rotana Hotel near Dubai Airport at midnight, couldn't get a pic though...

Merc must have a test facility somewhere in Al Quoz as I often see test fleets heading out of there onto Al Khail road.

saw some sort of prototype 4x4 nr jafza industrial at lunch. not sure what, had the black and white swirlry paint job etc.

That's what I thought as well. Perhaps he liked the look so much he kept it - bit like certain peoples ignoring the years of research to provide the finest leather hides for seats by keeping the plastic wrapping on them.
By the way, if anyone leaves those little blue foamy things on their doors, I WILL rip them off if I happen to pass in the car park.

There's a replacement for the Freelander/LR2 due - moving to Fortuna size and seven seats apparently. Also the LR3/4 is seven years old now, as is the RRS - could be one of those.
I'd like them to hurry up with that new Defender - I'd love a 5.0 one of those.

It was on Beach Road this morning opposite the Jumeirah Mosque. It's definitely been 'launched' however as it's still not commercially available they are still covering them.

I've often fancied stickering-up a sports car to look like a police car for the pilgrimage to Le Mans. Looks like someone has beaten me to it:  Unless Dubai Civil Defence really do have a Corvette?

It would appear they do. AD police similarly have some awesone cars - Camaro, Vette, Nissan GTR, Fiat 500...
