Spyker C8.... very nice, I remember spotting one of those on the M25 about 10 years ago and then having a look around the interior of one at a motor show, love the steering wheel!

Good spot, can't imagine there's too many of them here.

Ah so that's what it is.

I thought it was a Corvette with a crap Veyron-esque body kit attached.

It's in the villa opposite mine and hasn't moved in days.

In fairness, if it ever does move, it will sound like a Corvette..

In fairness, what Claire has spotted is actually a C8 Laviolette with the 400bhp Audi V8 lump, it's not the most cohesive of things from the outside.

As with almost all cars, I much prefer the spyder

Preferably in C8-T form with the twin-turbo 525bhp motor

I suppose it's still an acquired taste, but I've always rather liked Spyker

Lotus Evora in Madinat last night - for some reason the front wheel looks bent:

On the way to Justin Timberlake was this - not a clue, looks like a Bentley /Aston ripoff badge:

and my favourite - a mini Beetle, just my size actually:

LOL

I know, it's all about shoes and handbags now frown

And besides why would I pay attention to a Hyundai....

To be fair, I haven't took any notice of anything motor related this year, including my beloved MotoGP.

Love the Ferrari - great proper fezza shape.

I've seen a few of the Jags now - they still look like a big S2000 from the front hehe

It's not as exotic as a Spyker, but I have so much want for this!

I can imagine it being a cool winter cruising car and is about as immaculate as immaculate gets, but for 60K it's a bit steep (for what I can afford)

Not sure if anyone on here but a red Lancia Intergrale down the Marina one evening this week (may have been Mon or Tues) - very very nice car - I was in a white Camry in front so easy to spot me :-)

Friend saw the police supercars last night (all of them apparently) and was behind the Veyron. Only in DXB!

I too saw a Veyron last night... an all white affair on a Dubai "O" plate
Was travelling very slowly through meadows, not seen it around here before and only the 2nd I've ever seen on the move.

Need to come up to the Jumeirah end of town then...always buzzing about.
There is a coffee / shisha place just before my road and that always has a *** car park full of veyrons / ferraris / lambos / mercs etc

Claire

  • * when I say car park, I mean they park off the road, on the pavement, in the parking bays and also double park on the first lane of Beach Road...its a complete piss take.
