Dunk1982 said: When I first got here I was doing my usual 'look at what ya could have won' car search and spotted the Impala for sale, went on my dreaming want list!! Mate of mine back in the UK has a Canadian import one about the same age soft top too... why did you let her go? Just kept breaking down or something? I do look at all the old cars here and think, yeah they are nice but where the f k would I take it to get fixed!!?? (US Navy base being the exception!) On the contrary, it was in mint condition, about 95% restored. Just had to do some minor mods to the cooling to suite the temps here, and after that, it was basically running perfectly fine. The owner of that place brings in cars that have really been reworked in the US, so I wouldn't worry about them breaking down etc. Their prices are abit steep though! I gave it up because I had an itch to buy one, but after a few months, I realised I wasn't driving it as much as I should, and it just ended up sitting under a cover! Oh and it didn't have a/c ps. There's alot of decent places here to get these cars fixed and looked after, and they don't cost a bomb!

My best spotted yet! A yellow Aerial Atom yesterday afteroon in West Bay in Doha. Driven by two locals and one of them didnt even have sunglasses on!
When I enaquired about importing an Atom or Caterham a few years ago I was told no chance. Just goes to show it depends on who you know.

Last night, just pulled out of Seef mall and a car pulled out in front of me a bit futher down, at first I thought it was a SLS but as I pulled along side it it looked to me like a new Morgan..!!?? Too dark to see any badges but its the only modern car I know of that looks like that. It was on Bahrain plates so hopefuly i'll spot it again.
Then just now on my way to work a red soft top Z8 parked up at the BMW dealer.

I think it looks awsome in bright yellow, or red, or green...in fact I'd happily take one in any colour.
Keep seeing a grey California in Mubadala's office car park in AD. Didn't like it when I saw the first pics but its actually a very pretty car. A truly useable Fezza, though that might miss the point somewhat.

Sat behind a white 911 Turbo in the traffic on my way home a minute ago... I know, nothing special there you all say... but what was behind the wheel was special! As I noticed a slender feminine arm adjusting her rear view mirror obviously to get a better look at the handsome chap ( ) in the Nissan behind her! I guess the saddest part was how I weaved through traffic to get along side for a sly look!
