Those German old-timers are bizarrely for sale through the second-hand bag shop on the Ground floor.
Ah. That explains it. Seen the 928 there a few times over the last few months and also an early R129 Mercedes SL.Wonder what they want for the 968 cabriolet
There would have been a point where I’d have been interested in taking a punt on almost any of these but I’m now starting to feel that they’d all be rather dated and slightly disappointing on the roads here.

Indeed, all clear now thanks (I did suspect they may have been for sale). Isn’t the Porker a 944? It’s interior looks very rough.

Quite right - a 944. I think I had that recent PH 968 article on the brain and memories of yet another bargain back in the UK that I did not get when I should have. There would have been a point where I’d have been interested in taking a punt on almost any of these but I’m now starting to feel that they’d all be rather dated and slightly disappointing on the roads here.
That being said, 525,000AED:

Interesting price given that it's not a SL73
The 'rounded' AMG bodykits that came towards the end of the production run never sat well with the rather angular design of the R129 shape in my view. The earlier style kit was much better:
