Sitting here reading this thread in sunny Cape Town and am seriously chuffed to be missing the first half of Ramadan!Full porky breakies every morning for me, and I'm making a point of buying a beer wherever I can:
Beer on the top of Table Mountain? Check!
Beer on a boat? Check!
Beer in the cafe I popped into just to use the loo even though it is only 11:30am? Damn right - check!
All in glorious daylight technicolour and nobody gives a hoot. Think life in Dubai is getting to me....

No real change in our office (well our Department that is) and I work for a local contractor here in AUH. We are drinking, smoking and eating as if it was a normal day - awesome.
Bit of a st not being able to smoke and drink in the car on the long drive to work, but its small sufferance and gets made up for at work hahahaha
