be watching while getting ready to race in the afternoon Mark.
You Sprinting then?

see there is a Lancia 037 on the entry but I bet not as quick as Tony Harts Renault 5!

I am, yes.

Is Tony's Renault a bit quick then? I recall seeing the 037 at Crystal Palace I think?

Bound to suit the Indy circuit too.

good entry for the races this time as well. Looks like I will be battling at the back of the fieled rather than mid field this time around.

I'm in an e30 with almost twice the power of my old one. Added to that it's LHD and I've never taken it on track before! I just hope it stays dry. smile

If anyone is thinking of going along to spectate there is an excellent mix of cars entered in tomorrows sprint.

There are the usual caterfield type cars, Radicals, BMW M3 & 320is, Renault Clio Cup & 5 GTT, Porsche 996 & GT3 RS, Triumph TR8, Mazda RX7, selection of different TVR's and some Dallara, Pilbeam and Van Diemen single seaters.

Practice runs kick-off at 9am with timed runs straight after.

Anyone interested in competing, there is a final event of the year at Lydden Hill on Saturday 20th October.

Great fun this morning and some lovely cars on track. The 037 Lancia was gorgeous, as was the 911 GT3. The orange Westfield, with what sounded like a tubo'd bike engine, was insanely quick off the line and bloody loud. The pair of 60's TVR's were sublime. I know sprint events aren't everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it. I managed a 2nd in class too.

If anyone has any photos or video footage please let me know.

if it makes you feel any better Carl, I did the same, 1st practice lap straight out of the pits! Embarrassing to say the least, was just poodling along, oiling the gears and warming the tyres. All happend in slow motion, even managed to keep the engine running...but stalled it trying to get out of the gravel, Marshals push saved the day but confidence knocked for the rest of the day. Got some good racing in the end though.

starts were something else! made up loads of places and then proceeded to loose them all again as the laps went by. Engine cutting out under braking for Druids did not help. DNF in first race as I did not want to risk stopping on the track.

therefore started 2nd race 24th but finished 14th. Seemed to be faster than the next few cars in front (lap times back that up) but getting past while watching out for the leaders lapping me is another matter- some really quick cars out there yesterday... enjoyed the day though. Congrats on your class win.

Glad you liked it Lee i just need to treat it to some new slicks as the ones on it are over two years old and a bit knackered then it should fly all best
