Short notice but thought some of you guys might be interested if you are at a loose end this weekend.

The DDMC have an open invitation Sports & Saloon race double header (2 x 20 min races) and a 60 minute endurance race at Croft on Sunday 8th September.

The sprint races are £295 for 15 minutes qualifying and 2 x 20 minute races and its only £150 for the 60 minute endurance race with its own 15 minute Quali. £425 if you enter both.

Endurance race can be one of two drivers.

Bloody cheap track time if you ask me!

Entry forms are here:

Timetable for the day is here:

Awesome value, we've entered the NSSCC race and the enduro (if the car is still alive, lol)

It was fun... for 3 laps before i got punted off into the tyre barrier!!!

I believe the race got cut down to 2 x 20 min races after that.
No idea of the results im afraid - i was busy showing my in car footage to the stewards

Did you get pushed off straight into the wall by the idiot in the red Mx5 ( just after he tried to push the white mx5 off, nearly did him as well)

Hope you are ok, must have been quite a surprise getting barged off on a straight.
Are they doing anything about his driving? He maybe should have his licence taken off him for that.
Liked your comment at the end of the clip, what was the damage to your car is it repairable?

Im fine... the wonders of a roll cage, 6 point harness and a HANS device.
still a bit sore here and there, but otherwise ok.

The guy got points on his race license, and a fine. He even had the audacity as he stormed out of the stewards office to call me a p***k!!

The car... probably a reshell, if i can afford to that is.

I wonder if i can get a kickstarter type project up and running to fund it?? or at least part find the repair bill

You must have the calmness of a saint, many guys I know would have almost certainly 'tuned' him up a bit for the driving alone let alone any verbals. Good grief that guy really is bottom of the cesspit stuff.

luckily for him, i was still in a bit of shock. and hoping the stewards could do something.
All I was hoping for is for him to pay for the repair bill... fat chance of that ever happening.
I think the gf was more likely to flatten the guy than i was... and i used to play american football for 9 years

That is appalling driving - deserves to have his licence taken away for that. At least you're still in one piece even if the car probably won't polish out.

Jesus!

not content with pitching the first guy off the track, he then goes on to sideswipe you off!

seriously, I would be sending that to the MSA for review, kind of surprised the stewards did not take it up?

To be fair, Jake (my co-driver in the white car) had a O/S/R puncture which was why the car was all over the place. This was caused by contact with the red car at Sunny Out before the video starts.

I saw the accident from the pit wall and felt sick when I heard the thud. It was a massive impact and I'm amazed and relieved that you managed to walk away from it Darren. I saw the guy in parc ferme after the race and he was storming around with a face like thunder. If I'd done something like that I'd have driven straight out the paddock and hid.

Can't believe he still wouldn't accept he'd done anything wrong. The guy clearly shouldn't be in a race car.

Looking at your other video on youtube, I'd probably avoid Croft from now on! wink

Seriously though, that is shocking driving but the fact that he was acting the way he was afterwards is totally outrageous. He should not be allowed to race. At least his name is readily available and one to avoid in future races.
