Hectic 6 hours, things ran like clockwork for the first few hours with a couple of lap lead in our class. It then went pear shaped, one rolled car after going off on someone else's oil, a snapped half shaft stranding another on the circuit, and finally a broken panhard rod in the 3rd of our 4 cars!

Cracking day though

Is that what the driver said wink I was at the corner when he went over I don't think it was oil though as he was two car widths off the track and the way he came back on to the track (and the speed), combined with being sideways had more to do with it.
Looked like a fantastic race, well done to those who won classes, I think almost all teams were still running at the end.
Personally I would prefer to see less of the radical and sports car types and more of the 'proper' club racing cars as in the saloon cars, so was disappointed to see that the historic Birkett was not able to go ahead.

It was my intention to race in this this year - but I just ran out of money!

Congratulations to Team Regency on winning the Birkett at their first attempt!

Three of the four drivers were on novice plates at the beginning of this season.

just discovered we somehow came 2nd in class on handicap, losing by less than 30 seconds...
