Looking at that I should have just kept my foot in
So disappointed not to have raced with you all on Sunday. I had to retire my 968 20 minutes into qualifying after the clutch tore apart. I'd been struggling from the off with random gear access and eventually lost everything.
I guess I could have started from the pit lane and had a go without the clutch, but given how fast some of you were I could have been a real hazard.
Not a great introduction to racing for a complete novice, but parts ordered and should be there for the next round at Silverstone. Fingers crossed.
By the way - woof's off looked pretty spectacular from trackside!

Why? PM if you like!
Let me guess. Cost.Anyway we'll probably end up doing a couple of rounds at some point. Just to see how we measure up.
Thanks to all involved in the DPC on Saturday at Silverstone National - my first ever race and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
A very wet and windy start to the day, although it cleared a little for qualifying. I discovered just how slippy the combination of cold tyres, water and lack of talent could be at Maggotts on the first flying lap. Who knew?! Oh well, at least I got my little excursion out of the way early on.
The rolling starts are interesting, with the small field rather strung out when the lights go out. I had thought it would be more bunched, but now I know what to expect. Must remember, red lights go out, go...
If I can sort out the video editing thing I'll post some footage.
Anyway, two fun races to start my racing career and looking forward to Brands in a few weeks.
Special thanks to Kevin/Alex Eacock and Andy Duncan for all their advice - it really helped and was much appreciated.
