Congratulations!
What you proved there is neat, tidy, consistent lapping along with staying out of trouble puts you right in with a shout.

Very well driven by both of you.

We're registered again, will be dusting off the Silver st for Rockingham, Oulton TT, Brands GP, and Cadwell TT. www.explodingfistracing.com

Again, superb drive chaps!
Did I see your Clio out at Bedford tonight?

Hope not - we're all getting ready to head Stateside! smile
Hence no Oulton or Silverstone rounds for us frown

One of the sister cars was there I think? Blue one - owned/driven by Paul and Adam (my brother).
They'll be competing in the TT/TDT too this year, and were looking for a final shakedown ahead of Oulton on Monday.

From just in front of you :

Struggled to get the power down at the start and then hit at the first corner.

You've got a fast car there for Group D smile

Some great racing on Monday. Good to see a bunch of enthusiasts getting out there and doing it rather than talking about it!

I got a couple of pictures of the VX220, unfortunately nothing else as it was the only car my Son liked! I did try and talk him into the Golf and the E30 but he was having none of it!

Ive signed up for all bar the Silverstone round of the Trackday Trophy. I was at Snetterton and in my first ever race I got third in class C so was well chuffed! Ended up missing Oulton Park as on the Saturday I managed to shear a front wheel stud and couldnt get it fixed in time...gutted! Looking forward to Rockingham now! I thought Id be different by racing in an ST220, unfortunately for me TDI are running their own car, which happens to be....a bleedin ST220. Mines still road legal though :-)

Good point! They were quite a bit faster so Ive got my work cut out when their drive shafts dont brake! Looking forward to Rockingham, I at least know that track!

Hey Guys, what did everyone think of Rockingham? I thought it was much tougher than Snetterton but a great course. I couldn't believe how hot it was, I lost over 4kgs during the race!!

I thought the track was badly marked out with cones ie. where they wanted you to turn left off the bowl and I thought the infield seemed a bit of an after thought after they built the banked circuit. Also there was a huge amount of debris on the banked turn. It was hard, hot work but not as hard work as Cadwell!!!!

Hmmm, if I thought Rockingham was nails I can only imagine what Cadwell will be like! I will definitely be sorting out some sort of cabin cooling!!

I like Rockingham - it's probably the most technical track in the UK.

I quite liked it although the wall is quite imposing.

Pants start for me from 4th on the grid i dropped to 7th or 8th I think so I spent the first 30 mins clawing my way back to 4th, good tussle with the Porsche for a few laps. I then promptly spun off on Kesters oil after his rod exit and ripped both tires off the rims in the gravel trap on the fast left hander just before the hairpin. Car ran well though and has much more time in it so I'm happy.

You must have been well in the gravel the length of time the safety car was out, I had handed over to my other driver by then. We had one of our better weekends getting a race win in TDT on Saturday and 9th and 3rd in class in TT on Sunday

Rockingham was great. Super technical track, close racing, live music from 50 bands and a mini beer festival! Not your typical race weekend - anyone not there did miss out on a top weekend.
