smile Rob - I'm planning my season around AMOC Intermarque Championship - got to help win it back for Porsche.
I like MSV TT - lots of seat time, close racing and a fun paddock. Should be even better this year with tighter policing of the regs, but the news on class changes needs clarification and MSVT should probably consult with drivers, like AMOC does with its team managers when any changes are proposed. Anyhow, I definitely won't be going the forced induction route after seeing Bob's reliability problems, so no change to my class B in AMOC, and I'll be watching your yellow 911 turbo disappear off into the horizon.

Login still currently suspended on both TT and TDT websites. One thing I would request if we ever had a drivers forum with the MSVR would be that they update their websites quicker. I know they run a pretty lean set up but I spent £2.5K last year on entry fees, are my expectations too high?

Just called MSVT and apparently they are waiting for the MSA and MSVR to approve the regs. I suggested they release a provisional set of regs to then be confirmed but we will see.
With my fag packet maths we have 45 working days until the first round, looks like the rolling road will be busy every day if they intend to fill the grids!!

I'm running in TT and so is Darren in the Seat although we are staying in class A for the time being at 200. I know for a fact that his car won't run an hour on his current tank if he upped the power and nor would mine either!

Been looking at the various options for 2015 and did a cost per minute comparison for Snetterton (where 1st rounds of TT and CSCC are held). Based on advertised entry fees divided by time of the race.

TT and 750MC both cost £6.66 per minute. TT is a 25% longer race, hence the difference in entry fees.
CSCC modern classics costs £9.62 per minute. So CSCC is 44% more expensive than Team Trophy. If I was in CSCC I'd maybe take a look at TT as a better value for money option. Also, if you count 30min qualifying TT is even better value for money.

Ive never found maths useful while out on track so don't worry about it Bazz!

Steve, i agree with the Snetterton rounds. However the Cadwell rounds and others do work out cheaper with 750MC, the big question is whats better value? We all accept the hotel, fuel etc to get there has to be paid either way, but is it better paying more to get more time while your there (60 min races) or keep your cost down (45 min races)?

Or does it boil down to the people your racing with? A race is not a race without battle!

Hi Steve,

Good to have chatted to you again at Autosport. You also get 30 minutes qualifying with the CSCC and the opportunity of a discounted 2nd 40 minute race for just £245. You also don't need to pay for a rolling road session and the time and money taken to get to Oxfordshire.
The longer the race the cheaper they work out per minute as regardless of the length of race you still have to factor in and pay for the cooling down lap, clearing any breakdowns and starting the next qualifying session or race. Roadsports, TT and Modern Classics are similar.....but different. Having said all that I may come along and join you for a race or two as I can't race with my own club of course, I've just got to work out if my Elise Audi has a big enough fuel tank? The first TT round comes a few days after the CSCC test day so I'll be in Norfolk anyway.

Cheers, Dave (CSCC) smile

I prefer p/w classification as long as it is controlled properly, which TT is now doing - this will give it much more credibility. Just stops the arms race for power, unless you want to move up a class. I power test my car anyway so I'm ok taking it to Silverstone for that. I think the quali time might be shorter in 750mc - which would make TT lower cost/minute overall vs 750mc - hence my comment.
I am tempted to do some transaxle porsche races with CSCC if I can fit any in. Not sure I can justify registering for more than 1 series though. A number of TT drivers - probably myself included - might race with 750mc this year - we are already members because of the Birkett. So it'll be TDT or 750mc plus AMOC

Come and have a race with Luke later on in the season. You know you want to. Remember the good old days. Just racing and no bickering and moaning about aero and stuff. Bazz

Haha, that's true Bazz. No aero in MC is a good rule. Maybe I'll do 1 or 2 later in the year, as long as I don't have to line up close to a certain M3 CSL!!

I don't remember the car in question appearing last year. Might be wrong but I dont think so.

I was going to register and then book up the first round. Not too sure about bothering to book up Cadwell quite yet but it was a popular race last year albeit later in the calendar.

I'm registered and going to Cadwell for the MSVT trackday on Saturday 14th February so if anyone else is there, let me know as it would be good to meet up.

Cheers
