Hey guys, didn't realise there was a TDT thread here! I'm Dan, in the Pug 306 Rallye. Hope to see some of you at Cadwell, we'll be there as well.
Dan, did you do the first stint at Snetterton? I was in the white and blue Fiesta and really enjoyed the race I had with you (or your brother). We hope to be back at Brands Hatch, so I'll come over and say hi.

In what ways do you think they ruined it Dan?
They left it far too long to clamp down on the blatantly obvious cheating with regard to power to weight ratios. Lots of people got sick of this and went elsewhere. Then they decided to drop two classes from TT so some people had no choice but to go elsewhere.
Then they increased the entry fees considerably.
Roadsports or CSCC MC/FC/NM are a lot more attractive propositions now.
All IMHO.

Agree with this although cheating is always a tricky thing in motorsports and difficult to monitor and to get right. It's easy to see when someone is cheating because If you are anal about weights and power figures like I am and a car leaves you down the straight in my mind I go "There you go then" With the road there now at every round hopefully that is now addressed.

True although TT is meant to be for faster cars etc.
Then they increased the entry fees considerably.
True and that was a faux paux of massive proportions with budgets always tight. I hope they have learnt that you cant just keep putting up prices. There is a limit.

Why? Is there no cheating in those then? Better value for money? Longer or more track time? Better organized? Better policed?
All IMHO.
Dan
I watched Britcar on motors at the weekend and there were 10 cars on the grid! Northern saloons at Cadwell had about the same! Team trophy had about 11 cars. Perhaps those cars should all join up and have a grid of 30 cars eh! Too many series chasing the same customer base to my mind!Agree with this although cheating is always a tricky thing in motorsports and difficult to monitor and to get right.
