I think that was me i was just flicking my fag out the window when i realised i still had my ballast in from TT so i quickly unbolted it and lobbed it out the window !! before i got to first corner !! apologies if it caught you guys out !!Wow what a race at Brands yesterday. Wet practice yet again for a mixed up grid, we got 9th of 32 cars. ( I say we but I mean Ricky as I have stepped down from driving for now). Shame our race was spoiled by the red TVR dying at the pit exit hence blocking everyone who pitted then from exiting, we lost a lap and plunged from 5th to 23rd but fought back to 14th at the end. After a somewhat de-moralising Snetterton race this has restored my enthusiasm to carry on.
Will post some vids once we have sorted them.

Can't have been more demoralising than mine. Spent a month preparing the car, membership and race entry fees paid, transport and logistics arranged, only to discover in scrutineering the cut-off switch wasn't working.
There just wasn't enough time to get it sorted before the mandatory practice. By 2pm I was loading the car back up and returning home. Miserable day.

Really enjoyed my battle with Ricky (I was in the RX8). Great driving - soaked up the pressure really well. He (you) might enjoy the view from my car in the post-safety car period.https://youtu.be/QUib_AfxHls

great noise inside your car! only watched the first few (hairy!) laps for now. Thanks for posting. Ricky has already seen it. His highlights should be up soon, I will post the link here. Congrats on the 3rd place.https://youtu.be/QUib_AfxHls

ooh, thanks for not punting him out of the way, looks like you did well to avoid that on several occasions. Perhaps he should have let you pass but we had no idea at the time ( and no blue flags afaict) we were a lap behind you and was just fuming after being held so long at pit exit- you got away lightly with your pit stop in comparison.https://youtu.be/QUib_AfxHls
Another great CSCC weekend and I don't normally say that when it rains, but the Boxster was just awesome in the mixed conditions. Unlike some others we avoided getting stuck in the pitlane, an outright win would normally be impossible in the dry, so we will take it. I feel sorry to those who got stuck behind the TVR in the pit lane, but it happened to us in Modern Classics earlier in the day, so feel that justice was done!
There are some vids of both races here.

Morning all
I currently run a 968 in Modern Classcis and am in the process of buying a 997 Cup car to race in 2016 but will enter it into New Millenium first for a full season before other events on slicks and wets to see how I get on.
I am aware there is a Gen 1 cup car in NM and wondered who that was and what tyres you run the car on that are eligible MSA compliant as spec. I think you need to adjust the suspension settings when not running slcks which is easy with the team support I have.
Thanks

David, I look forward to seeing you out in that. An awesome car.
Have you also looked at the BMW M235i Cup cars?
3 litre twin turbo (333 bhp) and 8 speed flappy paddle gearbox on slicks, designed for the VLN series. A great looking car and available new for about £50k I think.
