I'm yet to enter but I'm seriously considering it. My main concern is that my car has never run on anything other Than slicks and I'm not sure about running it on road tyres. I wouldn't want to have to change spring rates or shock valving just for this. Need to book a test day to see how it goes on a set I suppose.

So how many are signed up for the New Millenium series and what are you driving?

I entered both the Donington and Snetterton rounds last year and am seriously considering coming along again in my Clio Cup...
We currently have over 30 registered competitors in the CSCC New Millennium series of which 4 are Clio cup cars running in class D along with an Integra, Fiesta, Civic, Elise and a Ginetta G40. Other classes contain a good number of TVR's, BMWs (M3's and a Z3), Seats incl. Supercopas and BMW Mini Coopers.

Entries are available for both Silverstone on 10th May and Brands Hatch on 31st May. New Millennium series will also be racing on the Silverstone GP Circuit on 12th September.

Hi Mike, we have quite a few TVRs registered in New Millenium for 2015 (Tuscans / Sagaris), so it will be nice to add your Cerbera to the mix!

You say 4 Clio Cups... Is that including me and Darren from last year as well? I'm hoping you say no! And are they Clio Cups with sequential boxes?

I assume that it's the SEAT Cupra Mk1 as the Mk2 Seat SuperCopas don't comply with the published bodywork regs?

Hi Andy,

The Supacopas are allowed under the published regs as the bodywork was fitted by the factory, but we have made sure they run in the regular class as per cc, NOT in the fwd class. I know we chatted about these last year but things progressed and the rules developed and it was agreed to let them in.

Cheers, Dave

Don't tell Pete Edwards then! He wanted to buy a SuperCopa but changed to the Astra because of those rules!

A SuperCopa with the wick turned up would certainly be a great car to have in this series, but then I also saw a Ginetta G50 for sale recently for less than £20k.

Where did I put that lottery ticket? Just the million would do!

Can you confirm those dates? I have it recorded in my diary as 31st May at Brands which I think I got from the website. Won't be able to make 10 May at Silverstone unfortunately.

I also note there's a tentative date for end October - when will that be confirmed?

I can confirm it is the 31st of May smile

The meeting at the end of October/beginning of November is definite, the only thing we can't confirm yet is on which of the two days each series is racing, all going well we will announce this next month. Thanks, Dave

aagh! terrible race for us. Need some of the older Clio's that have registered to turn up to give us someone to race with. Even my sons times, who is much quicker than me, was 4 secs of the pace of the X85 Clio's and in a different century to the first 2 cars. Not in it to win but do need some similar spec/ speed cars to target on and have some fun. Bit demoralising to see the entire field disappear into the distance while I was sliding around on brand new unscrubbed tyres. No point in thrashing the car around so drove out the min laps to pit open window and hand over to Ricky to give him as much track time as possible only he was not ready, so crap pit stop to boot. Good to see him progress to some respectable lap times by the end considering it was his first ever race, but a lonely drive all the same. Enjoyed the day otherwise and congrats to Darren here for his class win and 3rd overall, good show!

cheers Mark nice to meet you, its a tad the same for us there allways faster cars, which is frustrating, in the sports v saloons i had manic 6 laps then never really saw anyone for the rest of race, gota say tho the cscc guys are a real friendly bunch and i,m sure this series will grow really strong....
