Chaps, I've just bought some "pre loved" slicks to fit to the car we sprint. I know the QuickFits and others won't fit used tyres to a road car but in this case neither the car nor tyres are road legal. Anyone got experience of getting those kind of tyres fitted? (Haven't got the gear to fit them myself).

I have had slicks fitted at independent tyre fitters in the past bu the chains usually say no.

A crisp £20 note usually makes things easier wink

What I've actually done it bought my own tyre fitting machine (£46 delivered), I'll let you know how I get on with it, one tyre off so far.

Only in a certain way.
Used those expanding anchor bolts to fix it to the garage floor BUT after breaking the bead on 3 tyres they'd started to work loose (to be fair my garage floor is a bit old and crumbly). Soo I've been busy with a cold chisel, a club hammer and a bag of concrete to sink some M12 threaded bar into the floor. When the concrete has gone off properly I'll be back with an update.
