After a season of racing, the AMOC Intermarque championship could not have been closer. Four cars in contention for the title and, with over half the 45 min race completed, the top three were still separated by less than a single point. Credit to the organisers and team captains for creating an almost perfect points system. Congratulations to Tim Mogridge, provisional champ in his Ferrari 355 Challenge. The competitive racing, big grids (e.g. over 40 cars at Brands), and quality of the cars (Aston Martins, Porsches, Ferraris, Mustangs, etc) has definitely got me coming back for more next season. Thanks to AMOC and Aston Club Racing, and especially to the marshals who were there for our safety all year, in a lot of rain with occasional sunshine.

Dates are out for the 2015 championship - I'm already looking forward to it.

Well done Steve, you get a very nice trophy for winning class B.

I've always thought of the intermarque as a well kept secret, we have some amazing cars, Aston DB4,DB5, DB6, old V8s new V8s, Ferrari 355, 456, 550, Porsche 944 turbo, 993, 964, 968 and older 911s.

For anyone interested, 2 videos bellow from Oulton park, and Donington Park this year.

Thought the HRDC did a fantastic support function with their 2 races as well

( Granted I am biased as I am building an A35 for the 2016 series

Intermarque has always been great. In the past they also had the Marsh plant v8, Ferrari f40, f50, and the semi works Xj220 driven by win Percy helping to develop the car for le mans. then there was Nigel Greasley in his 935, a supercharged 911...

I hadn't been to an AMOC race meeting for many years

I used to Marshall in the Eighties and can remember the big Aston V8s thundering around - especially the highly modified " DBS" shells

One race in particular InterMarque at Brands involved a 911 rolling into Druids

As the driver got out and was surveying the wreck there was a comment over the Tannoy - " That will teach you to mess with the Big Boys"

In those days it was Aston /Jag/AC/Porsche

The AC's and Jags don't seem to race with us any more, but they are still an invited marque, so if anyone has either they're welcome to come race with us.

At the moment its pretty much a 3 marque championship, Ferrari v Porsche v Aston with 1 regular sunbeam tiger as the quick ones have been regulated out. but up until recently we had loads of american V8 stuff, camaros mustangs etc.

There are loads of cars out there eligible, if anyones got a 4.2 e type, that would go very well in the championship, lightly modified mustangs, camaros and tigers are all welcome.

Would an original 1989, Rover V8 engined, TVR Tuscan Challenge car be welcome? Currently run in the TVR Tuscan Challenge and the CSCC Future classics. I usually get an AMOC invitation the run at the sprint at MIRA but havent attended in years.

I don't know. I'd enquire with AMOC Racing next season. I know that a BMW E30 used to race in Intermarque because I learned to race in that very car via an arrive n drive with Podium Prep (in trackday trophy). I'd guess the rare and desireable E30 M3 might get in, whereas a relatively common E36 probably wouldn't. I think AMOC wants to encourage close racing amongst prestige marques / highly desirable race cars from '95 and earlier. I personally would love to see an original Tuscan V8 in Intermarque racing in the same class as the 80's AM V8's...but I don't have a say. All I can say is that it is an awesome championship.

I asked about putting up my Esprit S4 and after filling out the eligibility stuff they said yes! Although, a combination of really good reasons have led to this weekend being the first race meet (at Oulton with the RAFMSA) of the year. And I was getting my ass whipped by a 206GTi MOT failure... irked

I was checking out the Intermarque times at said track and in my current form would be about 17th out of 19 on the grid. Sounds a bit naff but it puts me in the mix and there are things I can do to improve.
