I am hoping to purchase a Luton Van with a 500kg tail lift and use it to carry my Formula Ford VD RF99.

Just need to inquire if the 500g tail lift is strong enough to be modified and to lift the car.
Has anyone else carried out this modification to a van tail lift?

I know that it is possible on a truck tail lift, but haven't seen anyone in the paddock with a 500kg lift.

I'm hoping that with the car weighing about 415kg and using support chains to counter the extra length of the lift platform, this will be suitable.

The people I know that use Lutons to carry ff1600s load there cars up on ramps rather than using a tail lift. So if a tail lift doesn't workout then you can still get the car in them.

Our truck taillift is rated to 500kgs and copes with an F3 car. We have additional wire rope supports and always load the car backwards as thats where most of the weight is.
