Terrifying driving. As someone with not experience of club motorsport - could the clio have done anything else - e.g. twisting the steering wheel - what might have happened? Clio flip/roll? Hit pit wall side on? Is what the clio driver did (or didn't do) the best possible thing for him - head on with most protection?

I was transfixed by that oncoming wall.

Total passenger I'm afraid. I think if he'd hit side on, even the passenger side, it would have been worse.

Totally inexcusable driving standards. He should have his license taken from him and banned. The chap driving the clio was incredibly lucky to walk away from that

Porsche driver has already been named on the youtube clip I put up.

Suspect he's not going to be welcome anywhere once everyone has seen that.

People see it happening in the Touring Cars and think its ok.
That's a very good point and frankly I can't understand why the MSA continue to allow BTCC to contain "MSA" in its official title given the series doesn't exactly promote the best driving standards.

I do think this is actually part of the problem. Monkey see, monkey do, and all that.

I've never seen a better advert for sprinting! There's something to be said for having the circuit to yourself...

true your not going to be taken out by a muppet whilst sprinting, but equally when you get in a dice with one or more good respectful drivers, there is nothing like it. 3d chess at 100mph plus is awesome.

what happens in the video is rare but needs stamping it before it gets to that level.

that Porsche driver needs his race licence cutting in half with a pair of scissors....

had he pulled that stunt on me in my historic race mini, I would have been pretty seriously injured.

Rubbish. Why should he think he had to back off? He had his space and they should have raced down the straight together (the clue is in the word "race"). So every time a car comes up the inside of another car he should back off just in case some tt decides to take him out?

It wasn't deliberate though was it? He was just taking the normal line.

That track looks so narrow, just stay in the middle and the other guy has to put wheels on the grass.
Its obvious its deliberate, he doesnt stay in the middle, he changes course deliberately to hit the Clio. I daresay he didnt intend to punt him into the sharp end of the pit wall but he certainly intended to hit him probably with the knowledge he had the much heavier car. I've been down that section three abreast, its tight but if no one acts like a cock and races in the right way its fine.
Alright the second video it rather more clear - looks like a small bit of contact at the preceding corner so yes it's hard to believe he didn't know he was there.

Quite simply the worst track-rage I've ever seen on camera. Bravo to the Clio driver for keeping it cool. Never before have I had the urge to give a total stranger a donation towards the repair of his car. Shocking!

Completely agree - unfortunately there is a trend of inaction from the MSA and when the drivers concerned are spoken too they can't seem to see what's wrong.

Who can make official representations to the MSA requesting the Porsche driver's race licence be revoked?

Disgraceful....not only could he have killed the driver but also the marshals just past the incident...needs a life ban for that

Seems to me that Mr Clio gave Mr pork a little love tap halfway round barn - not too clever against a rwd car. This could have ended very differently...

Looking at Mr Pork's performance leading up to the incident it was blatantly obvious that he was going to defend aggressively. What a st, talentless tt. I would hate to race with him. But I have raced with people like that and they spoil it for everyone. They don't know they're doing it, and most of the time they get away with it. He won't know what he's done wrong and I very much doubt that he meant to take Mr Clio out. Mr Clio should've seen it coming. Mr Pork is still a .
