Endurance Racing ???
Discussion
Creventic organise events brilliantly (Dubai 24hr, Zandvoort 12hr, Paul Ricard 24hr, Hungry 12hr, Mugello 12hr and Barcelona 24hr). They bend over backwards to help you race (before and during the event).

Hi
I am just coming to completing my bike engine Spire, and would really like to endurance race it next year.
Searching the net has yielded little (or my searching is poor), does anyone know of endurance races I can enter?
Certainly NOT national level (just starting out)
Any pointers will be very much appreciated...

Hi Mate, hope those in charge don't see this as a blatant plug but...I am just coming to completing my bike engine Spire, and would really like to endurance race it next year.

I'm the bloke that organises the Mission Motorsport Race of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit.
To give you an idea as to how 'cheap' motorsport can be we charge a £2000 entry fee (which includes your race fuel!) which, when divided by four drivers in a team makes it a snip at 500 quid each.
Classes are designed to encourage the Club racer with a sprint car because we run a relay system (therefore reducing the wear on cars built for 20-minute races) as well as the Heroes Trophy (with relaxed regs on bodywork and engine mods) to encourage true endurance - ie single car - entries. On top of that we're putting in a 'roadster' class this year for the likes of the Caterham boys as we've had so many teams come forward from the Academy.
If you're worried about speed/experience, we accept National B Novices, indeed we blooded almost 20 at last years race including my own Son, that's 20 new drivers coming to the MSA's books and many specifically because they wanted to be part of what it is we do.
I'd also recommend the Snetterton 360. I've entered this years race as a privateer in a 20 year old MX-5. Entry fee is ~£1400 but I've sold two of the available seats which has brought my outlay down to around £800 for Earp Jnr and I to spend a weekend racing.
In essence, racing doesn't have to be expensive...
Good luck wherever your journey takes you.

I'm certainly thinking of trying to do the RoR this year, and I also recommend the 360mrc 6 hour race. This years 6 hour race is on 4 July I think, at Snetterton. I did it a few years ago in a shared Alfa Sprint and really enjoyed it, it's a race that has grown too slowly but it really is a great event, deserves better support and is great value.I'm the bloke that organises the Mission Motorsport Race of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit.

This year 360mrc are also putting on several other 3 hour races to the same rules sat the 6 hour at locations such as Donington, and Rockingham and others. Again, great value and the now have an association with the Endurance Racing Series, so there is an opportunity to progress.

+1 but i dont think a spire will fit any of their current classes. closest is SP3 in which it will be hugely outgunned. bike engined cars don't make good endurance racers. http://www.24hseries.com/
I competed in the 360mrc 6 hour race at Snetterton this las Saturday (4 July) and had a fantastic time. 3 of us shared an MG ZS prepared to a relatively straightforward standard and we won our class.
The race featured a variety of cars from MX5 and Alfa 156 (prepared to a similar standard to the MG ZS) all the way up to a Britcar M3 from Intersport racing. However the race was won by a BMW Mini, much to their own surprise, I think, proving that a reliable car that does not spend much time in the pits can beat much more sophisticated and quicker cars.
The stars of the show, though, were Team Brit, a team of injured ex Servicemen who took second place overall in a golf GTi.
An awesome performance.
Have a look at their story. http://www.teambrit.co.uk
Inspirational.
Next year, why not think about joining in the fun. It really must be the cheapest endurance race you can enter - £1450 entry fee, List 1b tyres ( we used 6 tyres over the meeting and there's still life in 4 of them) and no need for expensive dry break refuelling (Sunoco tuff jugs surfice). There's a class for everybody and great camaraderie and atmosphere in the paddock.
