I'm looking at a set of extra light drift wheels on eBay that will fit my EVO. Does anyone know if drift wheels are OK for the track?

I would say that a drift wheel isn't strong enough for track use.
Most road wheels will buckle and deform when clipping curbs etc. Although I have a set of Veloce wheels that I run and they've been fine and half the price of Rimstock

Define 'drift wheel' if your on about Rota wheels they have been used for racing fine. If the offset isn't crazy and you can run tyres without having to stretch them to fit in the arches you will be fine.
