Yep should be good. Was pretty cold and wet this morning but track improved through the day and got a couple of good runs in. Lots of really nice kit around and fancy Jos Goodyear could be right there with the big cars tomorrow.

Only times were for Harewood Championship round. Paul Martin got ftd, ( I was second ftd which I was pleased with ).

Great day today for BHC which saw real electric mix of v8s v bike engines with new car, engine, driver combos. Scott Moran set a new hill record of 48.8 seconds!

Ah the green Jedi? Was really impressed by that - It was flying!

Agreed, a brilliant day of Hillclimbing. So many twists and turns during the day, most notably the lack of big V8s in the second run off! Great to see how competitive it was today.

Ed Hollier driver of the day for me.

It was a very impressive time from Scott Moran. I was there competing in the Harewood Championship on Saturday but missed yesterday, some of the practice runs on Saturday were good but with the improved weather on Sunday must have been a great day.

Yeah really enjoyed it and so much better once the temperature got into the track from Saturday afternoon onwards. On Saturday morning I went out for first practice and backed right off after the first bend thinking I had a rear puncture or perhaps the chassis had snapped in half etc. Got it back to the paddock and had a thorough look over it - nothing! - it was simply me struggling with the conditions.

Agree Ed Hollier was mega in an 1100!

Ed Holier has a 1600 wink no idea why the commentator kept saying 1100!

Ah thanks for that! I was pretty adamant he was running a 1600 in the Empire as had seen it for the first time back at the April meeting and it looked great and was the class above me and on the money for a quick 1600, ( he won ftd that day ). When Steve read out 1100 more than twice this weekend I pressumed I was wrong on the 1600 front but still couldn't quite believe it was an 1100 as it looked ,went and sounded like a bigger motor. Thanks for restoring my sanity!

I noticed the likes of Simon Moyse and Tina Hawkes popping up in the points again at Loton...there wasn't another noise kerfuffle was there?

Summers was using Jason Mourant's OMS for Loton, hence why he was off the pace.

Gurston this weekend - anybody going?

Thought I'd go for a bit of thread revival on this one!

After its mini summer break, the championship is coming back up to the Midlands next weekend at Shelsley.

Will be a huge pity to be without Jos Goodyear, but it sounds like he is on the road to recovery, which is great. Whilst it is obviously of secondary importance - I am presuming the Raptor will be a 'total loss' so to speak?

Anyway, I will be sharing Top Ess box if anyone wants to come along and give me a wave (I will be the younger of the two commentators).

I'm going to head down to Shelsley. It'll be my first time there and I've been meaning to make the pilgrimage for about 15 years - can't wait!

Just out of interest, what is access like? I'm going to be in the Exige and it runs pretty low - certainly wouldn't make it into Prescott without a bit of help! Will I get stuck or is Shelsley OK?

The 'ramp' up into the car park is a little abrupt, and the road is unmade once through the gate, but you should be ok if you take it slow.

I'd have presumed so re Jos' raptor.

Shelsley should be good, although sadly I can't get there due to work commitments.

I'd expect a GR61 1-2 though if it remains dry, with Trevor Willis trying increasingly harder to get to top ess without lifting off.

Wallace Menzies is having a good season, as is Dave Uren actually.

Brilliant run off win last time out for Eynon Price in the new gould, proving again that he really is the best driver in the wet!

Roll on Gurston smile

Hard to see past Moran and Summers isn't it? There's a nice group of cars that will be there - special class to celebrate our 110 years in motor sport.

Not competed at Shelsley for 18 years, so REALLY looking forward to it.

From memory you can rock up Saturday practise say around 11 am ish, sign on and scrut, select a couple of batches ASAP and bugger off again?

cheers
