Looking at heading down for the 750MC meeting on the 28th/29th. Where are good viewing spots around the circuit?

Would like to see the first corner for the morning races I reckon, first corner of the new season red mist seems likely. After that, where's best for viewing a decent proportion of the circuit? I'm thinking infield somewhere between redgate and craners would give the best over all visibility?

Depends a bit whether in the infield is open again. If not you're a bit limited, TBH. You can stand on the gravel bank on the outside of Redgate. If I can get infield I normally go to the chicane opposite the grandstand.

Just past redgate you can see cars exit the corner, down the craners, through the old hairpin and up almost to McLeans, then with a pair of bins you can see along the straight to Coppice. My second favourite spot being parked with the marshals on the right near the bottom of the craners I found last year!!

Donington is pritty good for viewing in general if you don't mind a bit walking. My fav places are the far end, anywhere from the Old Hairpin all the way up to Coppice as there are plenty of banks that give you an unobstructed view of the action. Heres my vid of a general test day few weeks back as it was mostly filmed from those areas.

Cheers guys. Think I'll throw the bike in the van so I can cycle round a bit. Wanna see the whole place whilst I'm down. My girlfriend's dad has always said its a brilliant track that he reckons I'd love.

Best way? Get a Tardis and see what it was like before being progressively ruined in last 30 odd years, especially after the carnage cause by the GP ambitions. To his great credit Kevin Wheatcroft is reversing the decline but it's a long job. Redgate to Old Hairpin good.

Ended up stood along side the bizarre members only section. Got a good vantage point from there, some decent action in the horrendous weather.

There's a lot of work needing done down there right enough. Either refurb the hospitality building in the infield, or bulldoze it. As it stands, it's an eyesore. No sheltered viewing apart from the main stand on the start finish straight that I could see. Knockhill gets slated for facilities but it's at least got 2 covered sections around the track.

Managed to park it in the gravel at Coppice this time. Good view from there, albeit a little scary.
