Anyone raced on the Silverstone international layout - is it much fun to drive?
Have only raced on the national layout and found it a bit dull.

Much more fun than the national, not as good as the GP as it doesn't have Copse, Maggots, Beckets. But still good.

Yes, raced it once last season. The most "interesting" bit is the cut through from the top of The Loop to Chapel as there's quite a severe hump in the road and its easy to unsettle the car as you turn right onto Hangar Straight. You need to be certain about what rule they're going to apply regards track limits at Chapel into the start of the straight too.

Exactly what these gents have said. Great fun, not much of a rest other than the HS.

Good Circuit, nice and wide which opens up varying lines for overtaking / lapping / being overtaken, plenty of run off for the saftey aspect.

As said 'the bump' unsettles the car (BMW E36 328) dread to think what its like in a single seater / radical type thing.

Turn one is good fun, you can carry loads of speed through there.

Couple of vids if you want to see some onboard stuff: (best bit is the first 6:30 of race 2, then you can all agree with me that there was a legitimate gap ;-) )

Thanks for the replies so far ( and the dodgem videos!) looks a lot better than the crap national layout but it's still a bit flat featureless and uninspiring.

I was never very impressed by either "half" layout at Silverstone, not when there are places like Donny, Oulton, Cadwell, Anglesey, Rockingham etc out there.

At the end of the day, Silverstone is still an ex-airfield circuit. Its never going to match Oulton, Donny or Brands!
