"Best Racing"?

I think you probably need to define this more...

In terms of "close racing", I would recommend any single make championship with strict modifications. They consistently have the closest lap time and the closest racing, just look at the timesheets. The last race I did for the Clios had a 2s spread between 20+ racers.

If you like building cars and engines (with the associated costs) then CSCC, Roadsports and others are also great, but much larger lap time and speed differentials.
Single make is the only way to go for me. Multi class is just frustrating.

I'll race with whoever will have me.

Being in a low volume "non-seven" kit car limits your choices somewhat!

That is assuming anybody ever bothers doing the machining I have been waiting months for.

Have been racing this in CTCRC pre 83 but I will give HSCC 70's roadsports a go in 2016.

I'm going to be racing a Toyota GT86 in 750MC's Roadsports series. Hoping to drum up enough interest to run a standalone series in 2017!

Hope it generates interest.

How about developing it to take part in rallying, too? Rallying is crying out for a modern rwd car, and you could run the car in the MSVR / Motorsport News Circuit Rally championship over the winter months, too.

MSV has just introduced the GT86 in to its fleet as it rally experience car. Build the car to similar specs, link up with MSVR (who are helping run the Circuit Rally Championship) and jobs a good 'un, no?

A unique combined Race and Rally GT series, perhaps?

Puma Cup for me next season in Paul Dolan's old car! A huge difference from running the 968, but those Pumas look fun and they're all very similar so it should be good close racing.

All I need to do now is figure out how a FWD car works...

I'm doing another year of Production BMW and will probably end up doing most rounds of the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons.

Also pretty keen on doing a round of RCN at the 'ring

Guessing you've bought the black one that's been climbed for a few years now?

Always went well.

Correct - Steve has moved on to single seaters, so I am taking over the mantle.

He always gave it the berries! Very much looking forward to my learning year.

I know team who used to race in the Creventic 24hrs with one of those (now they run one of the latest spec ones and won their class and overall Creventic 24hr series last year). Let me see if I can pick their brains for you (send me your specs so I can compare likely performance).
