I am looking to buy a car to pit radio for a saloon car, on the cheaper end of the market, basically to control a pit stop on a one hour race, just wondering what any else uses, what system are good and any problems/or advise

We use Autotel system, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
No 'black spots' on any circuit so not only useful for pit stops but equally as good for safety car etc....

Yes mate that's the one.... Good company to do business with. We have three radios but from time to time hire more to tag onto our system

I just picked up from a mate who stopped racing a simple system, two hand held decent quality walki talkies, a set of head phones/mike for the pit end and an in helmet mike and earphone for the car with press to talk, cost 200 pounds brand new and it works brilliantly. I looked at a few specialist system but decided it wasn't worth the cost. I use it at Sepang which os 5.6 KN long and can here it all over the track no problem.

We use the Stilo system with pay-as-you-go sims. Spent a fortune on other systems that did not work. This works perfectly.
