Neil Howard Stages Rally - Oulton Park - 7th November 2015

Had a great day yesterday, first time to Oulton park and the event, will definitely be going back next year. There were good battles all the way thru the field and the level of the entry was great from up to date R5/WRC to home builds there was something for everyone.

I spectated for the first time on a rally yesterday since the hey day of the Lombard RAC and really enjoyed it. Was shocked at the size of the crowd , far bigger than a club race meeting.

Favourite car - surprisingly, the Paul Sheard MX5!!

Scouring the net for a cheap rally car now!

Any piston heads there yesterday at this years?

I went and enjoyed it for the second year, I caught a video of a escort almost hitting the fans so I think the water splash part will be moved back before next year which would be a shame. I will include a link to the video for those that want to watch.

Could not go this year as had brownie points to earn at home.

Since last year I have bought a cheap and scruffy MK 2 Escort from Ireland (with a Vauxhall 1600 8 valve engine (!)) and done by rally licence. Hope to be out in at some point, but need some seat time at somewhere like Blyton or Curborough first though, I think.
