Hi All

Is anyone on here able to offer or know of teams that offer Arrive and Drive in a FFord 1600.

I'm looking to do a test and 1 round sometime after August as I'm too busy before then.

This is to help me decide what to race next.

Thanks

Rob

There are lots of teams that offer ff1600 hire good and bad - personally I would go to a local race and have a look at the teams in operation
Have fun

I've found a fair few and sent some inquiries.

Just wondered if anyone here has some recommendations.

Its only for 1 race, just to get a feel for it and see if that's what I want to change to, I've been racing for a few years now in MX5's but never really got on with the weight. So figured I will try some single seaters before jumping in with both feet. I'll be running it myself if I make the change permanently.

Also which sort of era are you looking at, one of the original era racing with the HSCC, something from the mid 80's which I guess might be the cheapest going or finally something brand new built this millennium?

Both the HSCC and the 80's stuff is a bit out of budget when I come to get a car due to other projects.

So to be relevant it would be something from the 90's or 00's in class A or B in the BRSCC champ or similar.

I would love a go in one of the HSCC one's though.

The cheapest way to try before jumping in with both feet may be in a Monoposto race, where there is a 1600 class for Kent engined F fords. Have a look ont He Monoposto web site and contact the club for advice on who might offer a hire drive, my suggestion is to try Ewen Sergiison at "Avit Motorssport".
