Race numbers on road car
Discussion
It's an outdated MSA rule. In an era when a lot of road cars have 'fashionable' (Beetle, 500, Mini) numbers on them, it seems daft to take them off racecars.
I understand the MSA need to protect the image and reputation of clubs......but it is the behaviour of a driver , not the look of the car, that is the issue.
You could make your racecar look like this:

I'd be more worried about looking like an absolute billy driving around a race car on the road.
I don't think there is anything wrong with driving a competition car on the road. Sometimes we have to . I do however think is a bit strange that people would want to drive round with numbers on pretending, but each to their own I guessGassing Station | UK Club Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
