A few of us going to Silverstone for my Stag next year. Go to LeMans every year but not done Silverstone for full F1 weekend. Id like to know which are the best Grandstands and also any tips for camping, want to take in most of what is on offer from friday morning onwards.

I personally really like Club.

You get to see the gridding up and start, the podium, the pits - there's very large screens opposite, loos and bar right behind.

View wise you can see the cars coming into Stowe corner, lose them for a bit, then down through The Vale, all the way through club, up the pit straight and round Abbey.

Luffield 1 or 2. Or Farm. Both give you grant views of the most exciting corners. I sit at Club every year. The corner has sadly been neutered over the years. I think that the Woodlands campsite seems to have a lot going on. If I had to pay to camp, I'd choose that I think because it is so lively.

Though Luffield and Woodcote are good for the Brooklands complex and down the Wellington straight. Another popular grandstand is Becketts, for the 'twisties'.

Camping - I prefer Whittlebury - Entertainment is always good, Red Bull usually do something there, plus live bands etc. Slightly dearer than the other offerings, though, I believe. Litchlake is always lively, as is Woodlands.

Went this year.

Luffield - covered, good view of complex.

Campsite - Woodlands - its the 'official' site and it was absolutely buzzing - I was very impressed. Saw some brilliant live music, lots on, ltos to do, great parties etc - highly reccmonded, especially for a stag do.

I posted at the time - when I bought my tickets I was apprehensive about the high cost but actually - I thought it was excellent value. We were there Wednesday till Sunday night. Brilliant.
