Has anyone got a suggestion as to a good place to stay near the tunnel overnight for an early train in the morning. For Motorhome and race trailer.

Premier Inn, Eureka Leisure Park, next to M20, Ashford. You can park right outside reception, which is manned all night and the car park is overseen by cameras. A few places to eat right next to hotel, 20 minutes from tunnel.

Stayed there a few times never had an issue.

Good to hear that man, I take it we will see you again on foreign lands ? I had a major engine issue at Thruxton end last year and have just taken delivery of a new full fat one, so looking forward to some action this year with you I hope. Just to cheer you up, a very rare picture, if you get what I mean........... you in front and all laugh

I am joining you this year in the Modern Classics and will also be at spa...

I was wondering what people do about securing the car overnight. I once didn't make on a long drive Croft due to fatigue and just pulled in to a random deserted layby to crash.

Hi Richard,
I have for the last five years used the premier inn on the A20 which also has a good car park and video coverage. I am using a motorhome this year so won't need a hotel for the night and was really looking for a safe wild camp as a back up before xing early Wednesday morning so you have all day to get to Spa and bag a place in the paddock. As I have the Motorhome we are going to cross on Tuesday night now and stay someplace an hour out from port, then trundle over to Spa on Wednesday. We get there on Wednesday for two reasons first is we treat it as a weeks holiday and the paddock opens late afternoon to get set up un rushed. We are going to the Spa museum at Staverlot as soon as we get there this year probably just after lunch for an hour , loads of people have told us over the last few years to go. Last year there was a trackday for bikes which was cool to watch from the roof top but the year before it was a test day for the Blanchpain 24 hour very exciting to see them GT's going round especially the then new Bentley and secondly I like to get scrutteneered early Thursday morning, so we have all day to get any problem sorted and then we can get a few beers in at the roof top bar before the weekend gets going with the racing. lick Ask away if you need any pointers as to what we do or the set up CSCC have over there. You are in for the best weekend.

Cool, let me know if you are up for a convoy, I was planning a similar elongated trip but didn’t know when the opened to paddock up for the weekend.

Are you going to make Snet? It is a bit touch and go for me at the moment...
