Hi guys, building a race car (saloon) and need to order a weld on quick release boss as I'm almost ready to fabricate the steering column stuff.

I've got a Go-Race one on another car and it's lovely quality, just wanted opinions from anyone who has used Go-Race, Lifeline, Demon Tweeks own etc as I want to buy another which is strong and will remain play-free for as long as possible. As it's the best part of a couple of hundred quid I wanted to ask first!

Thanks,
TC

I have used the Rapfix one available here

http://www.plays-kool.co.uk

And really like it. It's good quality and easier to use than ones that typically require you to line up a key way.

Had mine about 5 years and moved it between 2 different cars.

Thanks, I've seen that before but appeared to only be a 3 stud fixing so didn't consider it. Looks nice, does the stub look similar to this one?

Must admit I'm not sure! And the car is away having some work done on it at the moment but can't check.

I have no concerns about the Rapfix version, and much quicker to deal with at a pit stop.
