I'm usually first out the blocks with a new year of club level motorsports spectating.
I was at Brands Hatch for the Winter stages in January and today at a very chilly Goodwood for the Southdown stages.

Using a very slow acting compact camera with no motordrive ,there was no chance of getting the full action from the spin

until they hit the gravel.

It's been a funny kind of a year - a bit bereft of racing activity but getting married in May rather interfered with the usual course of things. Fortunately we went to catch up on a bit of racing for our honeymoon! I'll share some better photos in a week or two.

Lawrence Stroll brought his unique Penske Ferrari 512M over from his base in Canada. Chassis #1040, this is among my absolute favourite racing cars of all time. Very emotional to see it again.



Goodwood Action Sports stage was a riot as always.



Olivier Beretta demonstrated the glorious ex-Mansell Ferrari 641.



Alitalia Lancia Stratos dodges between the shadows on the forest rally stage.



Another day, another Type 56! This chassis belongs to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum - driven here by Kenny Brack. Andy Soucek's Bentley Continental GT3 in pursuit.
