I'd like to have a new livery for this year, and it would help my OCD for placing stickers if the numbers could be the windows like in BTCC. The blue book says

11.4. The organisers may, in addition to the number
format provided in J4.1, also permit competition
numbers to be moved to the rear side windows (above
the drivers’ name) on the vehicle in which case.

I'm a bit worried about the word 'may' permit numbers to be in the Windows - is there ever a time when they wouldn't be permitted?

My other issue is being an MR2, the rear side windows and rather small and there isn't enough space for the numbers above the drivers name. Am I right in thinking the drivers name isn't required for the UK club racing as it's only an international thing?

Cheers

it depends on the individual regs for your championship. They will state where and how the numbers should be displayed.
If it says as per blue book then generally they need to be on the side rather than windows.

If you can have them of suitable size and clarity I dont see why anyone would have a problem. However your small windows might make that a bit difficult....unless you're a single digit number or something ?

Cheers guys. Looks like I should probably play it safe and stick the numbers of the door again. I'm a double digit number which is why it's a squeeze getting it to fit in the window!
