Does anyone have any decent pics of this car?
From any stage throughout its life.
It was the first car I remember watching at the first race meeting I ever went to age 8 and is very responsible for my love of all things car related and essentialy the reason I have a V12 engined jag as my current motor.
I watched that car evolve throughout its life into a piece of automotive porn and would have to say it is my single favorite car of all time.
Any info/pics/links/comments much appreciated!

There was a thread on one of the other forums with some pitures - I can't remember if it was 10/10ths or Autosport Atlas though but I will have a look. I have a few of Malcolm from when he raced against my late father's V8 Aston (a picture of that is on my profile) but obviously included with my Dad's car - I could post those if you like?

Glad you like them and sorry I've not got any of the E-Type by itself. No, not Dave Eliis, they belong to Geoffrey Marsh and driving is my late Dad, Gerry Marshall.

Gregor - same car I presume - bottom one much later mods?

Christ how far is the engine back in the botom one to allow the venting in that way!

I remember watch it when in the top pic spec.

Good spot Jelly, you should work for Autosport as you got more right than they did when writing about Astons recently!! The engine was a long way back and down (quite similar to Old Nail actually) and was designed by current Formula 1 man Jock Clear. When it was in it's orignal trim it was spectacular as Dad could drive it on the throttle everywhere whereas when it evolved it became a lot more difficult due to all the added downforce.

I'm not sure if the E-Type is the original as I remember two huge accidents it was in and the second one does look a little different to the firt one but I could be wrong.
