this is the first competitive thing he has done with a car.
Remember too, this is very much a road car, setup for trackdays etc.
It is an Exige - they are virtually full race cars anyway - if it has further mods he needs to find that Lotus series that allows lots of mod like Honds lumps and blowers and race - get and ARD, race it as it is for a year or so and then go to the top class with the Honda Turbo - don't Dick about.
The thought is nice, however there isn't a Lotus series that allows this spec of car anymore, as they were ruled out a couple of years ago. I have got a race license now as I need it for my class in Time Attack. Anyway, racing is not financially viable right now and is also too much of a commitment timewise. Just doing the 5 rounds of TA this year and being competetive has been a bit of an eye opener for me. However, it's a really good laugh, well run with a great mix of machinery, lots of spectators and includes the best circuits around the country. Perfect for me right now.
