Is anyone going to Prescott this weekend (4th September) who may have some spare methanol? In the rush of getting the car repaired I've completely forgotten to order some and I'm down to my last 12 litres... probably enough for Saturday!

If you do have some spare, please let me know!!!

Thanks in advance!

No Methanol I'm afraid, but I'll be on the Aston University stand there. We've had a bit of misfortune ourselves sadly, but come over and ask for James if you fancy saying hi! wavey

Was a good day as always, just a shame the weather was on the um, damp side?

hehe

It was a good day, despite the weather.
Mike Manning got his 600hp Ford Puma into the Top 12 run off (when's the last time a closed car did that???)
Eynon Price won a run off for the first time
Scott Moran lost valuable points to Martin Groves
Just disappointed i missed Roger Banks' S4 on the Saturday, his engine blew (again)
And Mick Harriman, his Quattro's engine let go on Saturday too.

Mikes driving in the run off was absolutley fantastic! I have never seen someone look so committed coming into that first hairpin! It was crazy!

Hats off to Richard Spedding and Rob Turnbull too.

The raptor looked like it was going to be quick but spun unfortunately!

Hopefully I'll be able to book Loton off work, as I really really want to go!

Then next year I'll hopefully get to Doune, I managed to do one round at Gurston and the Wiscombe park round this year..

One of the best sports to spectate on IMO!

Hello All,
Fortunately Tom New came to the rescue and we ran with no problems...well apart from a last minute gear ratio change on Sunday morning but that's another story!

It was certainly an eventful weekend and a big congratulations to Eynon Price....

James, sorry I didn't come over and say hi... it certainly looked like you guys were having fun!

Anyway for those who are going to Loton, I'll be there, come and say hi if you're there as well, car 128.. I think!

Ol is okay, he's very sore but not suprising - he showed me the data later that day and he hit the armco at a fair old pace, double digit g's can play funny things with the human body. Hat's off to the marshalls and rescue crew they were fantastic... as always!

The car is repairable but I know he and Sandra won't be out again this year, I think they're going to take their time with a winter rebuild to get it all right.

No problem! smile
It was an exciting weekends racing, and a friendly atmosphere as always. Very impressed with the single seaters (and that Ford Puma) and saw the accident; glad to hear Oliver is ok as it did look like a big one!

Gutted that i'll be missing the last Loton meeting of the year, the entry list is great, Mike Endean will be ripping up the tarmac in his 700hp Puma (fresh after Brighton Speed Trials win) and will be looking to get one over on the Rallycross Puma of Mike Manning.

I swear I read somewhere that rally cars weren't allowed to hillclimb, but obviously not!

Will you be spectating next season?

Yes, i've been spectating at hill climbs for many years and will be doing so next year. I'll be at Shelsley this weekend, Its only a club meeting but there'll be a good selection of Ferraris/TVRs etc.

Sunday does look good actually.

John marshal is in the 430 Scuderia which is always spectacular!

I don't know if Mick Harriman will be out, as he blew an engine at Prescott (??)

Lots of TVRs and Alex Summers, Nigel Morris and John Jones will probably be scrapping for FTD!

I asked near enough everyone to swap shifts for the 26th, I had to get it off for Loton!
