Roll bars anyone?!
I was thinking the same, LOL!!

Lucky.... I really like the bodywork mods, do you know if these are going to be commercially available via Steve? I'd be seriously tempted myself.... lick
It had anti-roll bars!! We took them off. That's for the next owner to play about with!!

Well Steve sold the bodywork mods to Wayne....does that make them commercially available? yes

Looking good! The car looks great and it certainly looks like you were enjoying yourself in the video.

We are testing at Blyton next week. Richard at Blyton is a great chap and extremely helpful and hospitable.

Jonny
Which day are you there Jonny?

We are there on Tuesday morning, assuming the car gets fully repaired this weekend, which, total disasters aside, it should be. And it needs to be - we have round 3 at Snetterton next Saturday!

We wanted a full day but apparently the Caterham boys are there doing some endurance testing.

Are you based locally?

Jonny
Not local, no. Is anywhere local to that place? smile

I have a day off on Tuesday, but it's a long old drive. Good luck with it - Say hello to the apex at Bunga Bunga........if you find it!!

Pete

I know Titan used to supply steering racks to Ultima, and possibly still do, so being a Titan rack is not an indication that it is a special.

I suspect any bodywork mods are available to anyone but you would probably have to pay for the mould to be designed/built. If any mod was made without ownership passing to the car owner then the designer/fabricator is free to sell more of them.

Paul
A lot of the tasty high spec race parts that went into this car were bought by Wayne from myself from an advert I placed here on PH many moons ago whilst I was in the middle of an awkward period with the now wife... still gutted about selling all that stuff to this day.
I was only asking about the rack as the 1.5 turn titan rack that I had made which went with the project - I was warned may make the car too twitchy for road use by some.. just curious how it worked out - the factory at the time were using 2.5 turn titan racks for better road drivability but I wasnt all that bothered as I more or less wanted a full GT car and tend to be very single minded no matter what compromises need to be made.
I'll give Andy a call now and check the turns - you got me wanting to know now!!!

Pete, looking forward to seeing the car on Sunday!
The more i read and learn about the car the more i realise just how track focused the car is! yikes
Could you drive this to Spa do a td and then drive home? without shaking your fillings out ;] Rose jointed etc
Really mate, the susp was actually quite nice from the few laps I did in it. Quality shocks and RJ wishbones are just fine.

But I agree - this is a track focused car. smile

I know I'm getting older and there has been a good deal of beer and red wine pass between my lips, but do I remember the GTW being matt black in it's first life?

Paul
Hmmm, it was a gloss black when Wayne owned it and during the past 6 years it picked up a few scrapes. I took the decision to go for a respray - same colour code, but very, very, glossy!!!

Very, very nice indeed. And the pictures on GFWilliams site are great!
Young George is a talented lad, that's for sure. And the car has really come together now - Wayne, Clive and Steve Smith doing all the leg work - I've just tickled it over the line!!
